Terms of Service

Last updated 17 October 2026

These terms govern your use of CFPKit (“CFPKit”, “we”, “us”): the website at cfpkit.com and the application at app.cfpkit.com. By creating an account or using CFPKit, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use CFPKit.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

1. The service

CFPKit lets event organisers publish a call for papers, lets speakers submit talk proposals to it, lets an organising team review and decide on those proposals, and sends email to speakers about the outcome. We may add, change or remove features over time.

CFPKit is a tool. Each event on CFPKit is run by its own organisers, not by us. We are not a party to any arrangement between organisers and speakers, and we do not decide which talks are accepted.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You can sign up with an email and password or with your Google account.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
  • One person per account. Do not share accounts or create them in someone else’s name.

3. Your content

You own what you put into CFPKit: proposals, profiles, event pages, reviews, comments and files (“your content”).

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run CFPKit for you, for example to show your proposal to the event’s team or to publish an event page you made public. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies others have already received through the normal use of CFPKit (such as an organiser’s export).

When you submit a proposal to an event, you also let that event’s organisers and reviewers read, assess and discuss it, and contact you about it. Any further use of your talk, such as recording or publishing it, is between you and the organisers.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you upload and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve CFPKit without any obligation to you.

4. Organisers’ responsibilities

If you create or help run an event, you agree to:

  • describe the event and its call for papers honestly;
  • use speakers’ personal data only to run your event, keep it confidential, and handle any data you export from CFPKit lawfully and securely;
  • send speakers only messages related to their proposals and your event, and not use CFPKit to send spam or marketing; and
  • invite to your team only people you trust with your speakers’ proposals.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use CFPKit to:

  • break the law, or help someone else break it;
  • upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory or infringes someone else’s rights;
  • upload malware or anything designed to harm devices or data;
  • send unsolicited bulk email, or impersonate a person or organisation;
  • try to get into accounts, events or data you have not been given access to, or probe, scan or test CFPKit’s security without our written permission;
  • overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or collect data from it with bots or scrapers; or
  • resell or offer CFPKit to others as a service without our written permission.

6. Fees

CFPKit is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans or features, we will show the price up front, and you will not be charged unless you agree to pay.

7. Suspension and termination

You can stop using CFPKit at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing cfpkit@gmail.com.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, puts other users or CFPKit at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why. We may also change, suspend or stop offering all or part of CFPKit; if we stop offering it altogether, we will try to give you reasonable notice first.

8. Disclaimers

CFPKit is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that email will always be delivered. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of anything important.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CFPKit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of CFPKit. Our total liability for any claim relating to CFPKit is limited to the amount you paid us for CFPKit in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to compensate CFPKit for reasonable losses and costs arising from a third-party claim that your content, or your use of CFPKit in breach of these terms, broke the law or someone else’s rights.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the problem informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using CFPKit after that, you accept the new terms.
